However, this journey of growth has not been easy. Da Lat’sflower industry continues to face numerous challenges — fromthe impacts of climate change and global competition tofluctuations in investment costs and market demand. Thesedifficulties are objectively reflected in the modest share of DaLat’s fresh flower exports: from just 2% in the early 2000s to onlyaround 10% after a quarter of a century. This reality highlightstwo things: the export value has yet to match the vast potentialof Da Lat’s floriculture, and at the same time, it reveals manypromising opportunities for future development.
